Fender Removal 900

I need to remove the driver side front quarter panel. I've done this twice on my other 940s within the past couple years so I know what I'm doing basically, but I'm forgetful of one small part of the procedure. I've removed all the bolts and the panel is loose except for the part under the cowling in front of the windshield. I seem to recall that this cowling needs to be removed and I've already removed the windshield wipers in anticipation of having to do this. However, I also think I had to remove the hood in order to remove this cowl.

Before I get into a bigger project than I need to, I'd like advice. Removing the hood is not a big deal, but if I don't have to, why bother.

The question comes down to the last bolt, which I believe is under the cowl ... of course ... why should the fender be easy.

Is there a bolt up near the windshield that is not accessible without removing the cowl???????
