Black fibers/hairs in my coolant?!?! 200 1988

Hi. I just did a full coolant flush today and replaced with Zerex G05.

I've noticed this in my coolant before. But after a complete flush with distilled water I'm noticing this substance in my coolant expansion tank still. Curious to what it may be. It appears like tiny pieces of fiber. Maybe my head gasket deteriorating?
