Low oil level? 200

"light originally started to come on when it was a warm day and I was going uphill and accelerating hard"

This is a clue that suggests low oil level in the pan, which acceleration and gravity cause to run away from the pump pickup and suck air briefly. Make really sure your oil is up to the proper level. Inspect the dipstick to be sure it isn't damaged in a way that it is going too far into the tube and showing lots of oil when in fact it is low. If you can find a willing 240 owner (aren't we all?) borrow that dipstick and compare.

Before your trip, I would overfill the oil by 1/2 litre or so. Cheap insurance and won't hurt anything. If this eliminates your warning light events you've found the problem.
