Engine Temperature Issue (runs hot and cold) 200

Hello All;

Having a little trouble with my 1984 Volvo 242 TIC. When driving around town at 45mph, the engine runs a bit cold; but, when driving at highways speeds at 65mph+, the engine tends to run hot and I am forced to run the heater or in order to keep it from overheating. I recently replaced the thermostat and did a coolant flush but this did not resolve the issue. Any ideas of where I should start looking next? I am going to start looking for coolant leaks, but any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.
