Securing front grill emblem 200

I recently found that the diagonal chrome front grill emblem on my 1993 240 is barely attached. The diagonal strip had six posts extending into holes in the grill, but only one of those posts is still connected on mine.

What are some ways to secure this diagonal strip emblem on the front grill?

I rarely trust glue, so I prefer fasteners of some type. There's so little surface area on the grill for glue to adhere to.

My ideas include:
- Running fishing line through the grill mounting holes and around the strip.
- Drilling tiny holes in the strip and running fishing line through them and through the mounting holes.
- Drilling holes in the strip and installing new pegs for the mounting holes.

Any other ideas? Thanks.
