122 clock 120-130

Has anyone retrofit an early 122 dash clock into a later (64-68) North American market 122S dash? How did you fit it? Got photos?

Clock is same basic shape and contours as ash tray bezel, slightly less wide. The clock works is too large (height) to fit through the stock dash board ash tray hole.

Would hate to cut dash hole, but went to lot of trouble to acquire and repair original, stock, early 122 dash clock (Thanks Paul).
The clock is 6 volt, that’s no problem.

Clock works: 2”h x 3“w
Dash hole for ash tray: 1 ¼”h x 3 ½”w

Clock bezel: 2 ¼”h x 3 5/8”w
Ash tray bezel : 2 ¼”h x 4 ¼”w

Thoughts, ideas, photos, "timely" experiences?

Thanks,
