Restore or Trade on an XC 70 200

My 21-year old 240 with 300K is nearing its end. It has multiple signs of old age - erratic starting problems, compression at 90, 100, 95, and 105 in cylinders 1-4, respectively, electrical drainage on the battery, worn bushings throughout, a very tired interior, a major overhaul. - If I do the heavy lifting and hire the technical work out, the project will be at least $13K.

Meanwhile, a used 2006 XC70 with 117K on it sells for 16K.

Two summers ago and throughout that winter - my son and I did this project car:

Given your enthusiam for the 200 series, what would you do?

Thanks, David
