Hi Guys-want to thank you all for helping out-car is going to my mechanic today for a set of shiny new battery leads.
As for the second problem I mentioned in my first post-I have a suspicion that I know what it is but will describe it anyway:
But first a preamble: The battery lead problem has only happened twice in three months and between times it always starts instantly even on the coldest of zero degree mornings, and runs perfectly.
Then - when it gets up to operating temp and I stop the engine- the wierd stuff starts.
1. If I try to start it IMMEDIATELY after stopping-it will start ok.
If though I leave it for 10-15 minutes and then try to start it-she no go.
I should mention at this point that this car has dual fuel.
It has petrol, and it has gas-that is LPG.
still with me?
Ok- so although it won't start on petrol after the 10-15 minutes-it WILL start on gas (LPG) and keep going and stopping and starting for as long as I need to.
Then-next morning it will start, and run, on petrol.
Now so that you guys don't have to go through preliminaries: Both fuel pumps have been replaced as has the Little green electronic box high up under the dashboard-all plugs and leads and coil etc.
Cheers whitelephant
