Lower moulding piece re-attach 200

Have been unsucessful in re-attaching my door's lower moulding piece, the wide piece of moulding that goes just above the rocker panel. It doesn't seem to use separate clips and only has a nub on either side which goes into a hole in the door. Am I missing something? Any tips? About to break out the construction adhesive...
