Finally Happened, I need help 200

Not sure what happened exactly or what the issue is. Went up to Maine, a 600 mile round trip, was on our way home, 1/4 mile from home, the engine just stopped. I tried to pop the clutch to no avail. I thought at first i was out of gas (it was getting that low) I was able to coast into the gas station. I filled it and noticed that I only put 12 gallons in. First clue that it was not out of gas. Second major clue, it now wont start. The starter turns, it cranks, but will not start, but i can SMELL fuel. Given that I am not 100% sure its a fuel delivery problem. Where do i start? I am taking monday off to fix it, i can not afford to take more than 1 day off, so i need help. Its a 92 240, 5 spd with 185k on it. I know a thorough tune up is needed, but what might cause this?
