New driveway+old Volvo = oil spots! Wife unhappy! HELP! 700 1989

Are we doomed to have oil spots on the driveway forever? I see that the new FCPGroton magnetic oil drain plug I just installed last month (I did not use a new copper washer) has a drop on engine oil on it constantly. Of course it drips down on the new driveway ( was virgin as the PO of the house had a newer Honda). Now we move in with 2 older Volvos and the drips/spots start.
Could it be the rear main seal? or the front main seal? Or the new mag drain plug? should I use Muriatic acid or Bleach to remove the spots? I already park over a flattened cardboard to try to minimize the spotting.
Any help would be appreciated.
