ABS light and Vacuum hose on injector manifold 700 1990

1990 740 Turbo Sedan Manual transmission.

My ABS light comes on now and then. I have felt it is the front wheel sensors - so I clean them now and then. But is there any fix for this other than the new version of the front wheel sensors? (Which are very expensive.)

Notes: I have never checked the rear ABS sensor. Is that easy?

Also the vacuum hose connected to the injector manifold (see photo) this is the smaller hose that goes through the firewall into the cabin. Where does it go? My hose is real old I want to replace it but before I start I want to know where it goes and make sure I can get to it.
