A/C problem may be solved, after years of wondering, not any more... S90-V90 1997

Drove quite a bit today, the cool a/c was nice. After a 7 mile trip, and a short stop there, got back in and the a/c would not engage. No fun at 98F, nor would it kick in during the next 7 mile trip. Drat.

DEWFPO has to be correct. The 1998 S/90 that wife drives has no wiring octopus on the compressor, and it run all the time. Also, the used compressor I got was from a 1998 and it has the "old fsshioned" one-wire compressor connection.

So its on to the the by-pass wiring job, or only short cool-weather drives. Fat chance!

Likely that the duct work has considerable stuff in it, and the words on how to get in there are helpful. I suppose that disconnecting the battery would be necessary since there is a passenger side air bag to consider.

Thanks to all,

Bob
