Hard Brake Petal after sitting at a light 200 1986

Hello,

Inga (1986 245DL) has almost made it to the unofficial 300K mark, she is at little over 299.6K (estimated, the speedo has broken twice). Almost time to order the 300K Prancing Moose sticker.

Recently she has a brake issue when you sit in traffic in Hot Weather and in the Houston area we have an abundance of both of those. After you start to move if you need to stop again quickly, the petal suddenly feels like a manual brake. The car will stop no problem but you have to stand on the petal. After you drive down the road a bit the power brake feel is back. The pads are good, the rotors have less than 60K on them. The vacuum line from the throttle body is not cracked or showing any signs of leaks. The engine is idling smooth and the RPM has not gone up. I am ruling out a vacuum leak based on those two, but as a wise man once said, "I can change my mind if I see I need to".

What should I be looking at to get this one fixed.

Thanks in advance for your advise,

Paul
