break issue on early 140 140-160 1968

I suspect my brake booster might be in need of a rebuild. The symptoms I've been noticing with my car are NO BRAKES when I initially start the car, it takes about four or five pumps of the brake for the pedal to finally go that extra inch it needs to engage the brakes after that everything seems fine except for the hissing noise when I'm off the brakes. Anybody else ever have this issue? The only thing I've ever done to the brakes in the 8 years I've owned the car include replacing the front brake hoses, front calipers, and getting a new master cylinder.

Thanks in advance
Chris
