HIGH TEMPERATURE READINGS 200

1993 240 WAGON - Intermittent high temp reading on guage. I can be driving on expressway at 70 mph with AC on and outside temps at 90 degrees and it seems to start rising as i slow down nearing my destination. I have recently replaced the water pump, thermostat and expansion cap. Thinking about power flush on radiator next. Coul it be the actual guage? No steam or leaks.
