It seems from the information available to me from here that if i were to break my timing belt on my b234f 16v then there is not much hope for not having bent valves... this being the case and the age of the engine i propose one more option before scrapping this sentimental car. Are there any of you who know off/have done any engine and gearbox transfers from other manufactures that can link into the volvo drivetrain? is there such a thing with volvo s that is possible without heavy modification?
