Engine compatibility 900 1991

the easy answer is change the belts and stuff and don't worry about it. the harder answer is how much more money's involved in any swap. the b230 is NOT a direct drop in unless you use everything attached to the motor. brackets, mounts, ps pump and hoses, ac and hoses, alt, harnesses, etc. also, the kickdown cable is different between the 2, so use the 8v trans-easier, or swap the cable. duct work for the air filter? you have to have a complete donor car to make sure you get everything. 16v timing belts are more than 8v, especially when you have to change the idlers alot and the balance belt and stuff, but in my mind, it's gotta be easier than a swap. good luck, chuck.
