!988 Chrysler FI control box question 200

I had posted a question regarding the dying Volvo 240. Got an answer from the garage Monday that it was the control box (I think that is what it is called) located on the passenger side next to the washer bottle.

Anyway, I had a couple from junkers and the first one he tried worked. So my question is:

The one that came out had a number of 3517641 (red plug) and the one he put back in there was 1346107 (white plug). I have another here at home that is a 1357308 (white plug). Is this number a version number (Means anything?)or just an ID number for the car it is installed in?? Don't matter I guess, but would be nice to know for future reference.

Thanks in advance guys;

randyB
