'73 154 wagon

The sooner you can learn to do this stuff the LESS you will be taken advantage of by both
crooked mechanics and well-meaning but ignorant mechanics.
I would strongly suggest that you lay hands on a a green VOLVO 1973 140 manual
and especially read
up the section on the fuel injection system.
Once you get it working right, and understand how it works, troubleshooting is pretty easy.
It tends to be a bit mysterious and counterintuitive until you understand it.
For me it was like learning to swim by getting tossed into the ocean, fix it or walk (and at times the walk would have been 1500 miles!)
Now that I have several other cars it is MUCH more relaxed!
