A/C Works Intermitantly 200 1993

That little white plastic connector is where you would be disconnecting the positive lead to the clutch to confirm 12V, and where you'd be hooking up the jumper wire to test the clutch with 12V straight off the battery.

Note that the compressor also has a black ground wire, which attaches to one of the big bolts connecting the compressor to the mounting ears. It is possible, since that is low and exposed to water/salt/dirt, that you have developed a bad ground. If playing with the + side brings you no joy, investigate the ground before assuming the compressor clutch is failing.
