Proceed with caution 200

You can actually remove the steering wheel and turn it by one spline. But that may leave leave the wheel askew in the other direction. Still, this is the best place to start.

When I saw your "Proceed with caution" subject I expected to find the idea to put the wheel straight at its mounting only if the the car is not equipped with SRS, because the year is not given by the OP.

I kinda agree with the tie rod cure, but mention my experience would have one half turn being a lot more error than mere OCD would object to. More like one nut-flat. Just a guess as to the threshold of annoyance. The thread pitch is 2mm, if I recall correctly without looking it up, so one turn would meet Lucid's warning with this caveat: replacement (aftermarket) tie rods and ends are not all equivalent as to where the wrench flats are stamped or castings end.

Mostly I agree with the notion the alignment shop needs to finish their job.
