Hard to crank up 200 1979

After running the car about 20 miles and shutting it off and setting for 15 mins or so. It acts like its out of gas or not firing. After turning the ignition over for about 20 or 30 seconds it will crank. But when its cold it will start right up. Dose anyone know what could be the problem with my 1979 242GT. We did just replaced the Idle speed adjuster knob, new plug and wires, and new belts.
