High side freon fill connector. Missing in action?

Had too much freon in the wife's '94 940. The local indie pulled it down and filled it back up with the proper amount of freon ...with the single 'low side' connector up near the firewall ..at the dryer.

He and I both looked and looked for the high side connector to no avail. It is supposed to be on the compressor per the faq's. If it is there, it is hidden so well to be invisible.

Confession: This is a replacement compressor, but I have had other freon work done since it was installed. No other tech came back with a problem finding the connection point.

What is going on?
