Power Antenna Help 200 1990

Trying to install a Volvo power antenna (used) on a 240DL and need help on the wiring. Previous owner had replaced the original antenna with a cheap aftermarket that did not work, and had snipped off the connector. I am able to identify ground coming off the wiring harness and also what I believe to be the 12v line that is supposed to raise the antenna when the radio is on (thicker red wire).

I connected the wiring harness ground to the black wire coming off of the antenna unit and tried connecting the remaining two wires from the harness to the two other wires coming off of the antenna, but nothing happens.

Also, I should admit (yes, I'm an idiot) that I managed to short out the power wires and blow the fuse while messing around with this.

Is it possible that I damaged something in the antenna unit? Can someone suggest some troubleshooting steps?

Thanks in advance.
