Warning chime for parking lights On 200 1988

1988 245 DL / AW70

A warning chime should sound if parking lights are on and the driver's door is open. This chime doesn't work now.

The chime should also sound if the ignition key is in the switch lock when the door is open. This chime does work.

Any ideas for how to get the parking light warning chime working again?
