new tou 1800 1966

I just bought a 66 P1800 about 3 weeks ago. I've always liked the look of the car and found a solid one that this 70 year old guy was using as a daily driver (I'm not kidding). The price was right, it needs some work, but it gives me something to work on with my sons.

My problem is this. I have no brake lights. I have all of the rest of the lights working on the car, but when I step on the brakes nothing happens. It is literally the only thing keeping me from being inspected and being able to drive it. As far as I can tell, there is no switch attached to the brake pedal. Any ideas? Its extremely frustating since I just want to drive the car some before winter hits and the real work begins.

Thanks in advance.
