1993 240 wagon 14" tires 200 1993

Need new tires very soon - have 14" steel wheels w/ 195/70/14 Yoko TRZ - only drive about 6K+/year but they're over 4 years old. Seem to handle well in the past for all conditions, but first Volvo.

Car was ebay purchase/total money pit. Want something safe, but money tight. Should I be searching for 185R14 orig which are hard to find and minimal brand choices, or keep what I have - live in Chicago w/ lots of snow, ice, heat, etc. Mostly drive in city.

Also - have 5 or more year old spare on 15" rim:
-tire rot issue, since in an emerg, I could be stuck w/ a 50 mile drive on hwy???
-if I buy a new tire, what ratio would be close to either the 195/70/14 or whatever other recomm anyone has for the other 4 14" tires?

Thanks!!!
