940 1997 fuelmeter 900 1997

Hi all,

I have a problem with my volvo 940 2.3 Estate (1997). The reading of the fuel-meter is off. Sometimes the needle stays in the left corner just above the 0, sometimes the needle climbs slowly to half-full. This is true for the gas and for the LPG mode (The engine has fuel injection for both gas and LPG). Does anyone know what signal the sensors give to the fuelmeter? Is it a changing resistance or a voltage?

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Ed van den Berg
