Can California K-jet components be removed? 200 1980

I've got a California edition 1980 K-jet 242, complete with the Lamda Sond badge on the front grill. My understanding is that this version includes additional smog control parts, like an O2 sensor, catalytic converter, frequency valve, and computer on the passenger footwell that has some additional control over mixture.

Do 49-state K-jet cars in this year have any of these components? Can they be removed on my car now that it is no longer in California? Is there an additional computer associated with all normal K-jet cars?

Jason
