940 Differential - Fill and Drain Plug locations 900

Dear Fellow Brickboarders,

Hope you're well. I've read the FAQs and the Volvo Tech Manual relating to Differentials.

Neither shows, clearly, where is the fill plug. The FAQs refer to "earlier" and "later", without giving any base date, e.g., calendar or model year, Chassis number, etc.

Is the fill plug to be found on the extreme left-side of the cover (9 o'clock position, as one faces the cover) and directly opposite the speed sensor (at the 3 o'clock position)?

If so, is the drain plug the bolt - at the 6 o'clock position - that helps to secure the cover?

Or, is the plug at the 9 o'clock position the drain plug? If so, where is the fill plug? Is is one of the bolts, at the very top of the cover (12 o'clock)?

Thanks for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
