New 142 - hose, interior questions 140-160

After 22 years, I finally got my high school Volvo back. Well, not the specific one but the next best thing - a 1972 142S.

It runs but the idling is very rough. Looking under the hood made me wonder if the indicated items may be contributing to that: (Click images to expand)



The PO replaced the SU carbs with the Weber unit. On the left of the image, it appears that the choke rods are disconnected. Is this normal?

The middle arrow shows a hose that appears to have been cut from the intake manifold.

On the right, the oil filler cap has a nipple on it that I assume should have a hose on it...yes? If so, to where?



What is the circled item? The hose coming off of it is also hanging and has been capped. Where should it go, if anywhere?



This car obviously has AC (although it isn't working right now). In my 142 w/o AC, the fusebox was located where this center console is. Where did they move the fusebox in this car...I can't find it!

Also, my 142 had a glovebox here. This one just has a panel with an AC vent. Is there no place to stash my driving gloves in this car?
