Alternator no charge mystery...90-240 200

Hey board,

My charging system was working fine(13.8 volts)without a load. But with each load added the charging voltage would drop a little, until charging voltage would be below 12v.

I pulled the altenator and battery and both checked out ok.

I checked the wiring. Cleaned all wiring ends. I also separated the connector middle of the fire wall and did continuity check back to the altenator.

Additionally I pulled and cleaned fuse #15(dash lights).

Now all is reassembled and the system is once again charging like it should.
Im just not sure what the problem was. Corrosion(non noticeable), perhaps?
All comments gladly excepted.

THanks

Ps:
Never remove the oil filter and then start the engine. Trust me, you wont like the results.

Larue
