Misfire (mis-mixture?) 1st 10 seconds of every start - Hot or Cold. 200 1984

So, my 84 244dl B23F/M46 LH2.0 misses every time I start it. Even if I stall out at an intersection.

I believe it has an intake leak somewhere, as the idle increases when it is warm to about 1000.

I don't know where to start troubleshooting, since it's so brief. I don't hear the fuel pump cycle on when I turn the key to KP2 before starting the car.

If I don't touch the gas, the car barely idles - it's so low and slow that the tach rattles around 0 rpm. Yes, that says zero.
If I give it a little gas after starting it, I get a znd-znd-znd-znd idle that disappears within a few seconds.
If I start it with the throttle somewhat wide open, the car revs immediately up to about 3000rpm and has no issues.

It runs well other than this weird startup issue. It has new plugs, air filter, cap and rotor, and the airbox thermostat has been taken care of. The flame trap is also new and the hoses to and from it are new. One of the vacuum canister lines came loose and reattached it around the time I replaced the flame trap.

Where do I start? Also, I would like to check and adjust my AMM with one of the test-LED's. Does someone have the recipe somewhere? I think I'll entertain myself tomorrow by making one on a breadboard.

Cheers!
