Gas Filler Neck Drain Clogged, Wagon 900 1995

Was clogged. I read a posting saying that the plastic bits have to be removed for access. Wrong. I looked at the trim and you would have to remove half of the interior to get to one subject cover. Not on the 1995 wagon.

I have been fighting this for a year. I was able to use a 16 or 18 gauge insulated multi-strand wire to clean out the sedan drain but not on the wagon. Too clogged. A rag remained, poking out of the filler neck door to wick out rain water for a year.

Just remove the left side trunk cover, just left of the spare tire cover, to get access. Pull out the end of the drain from the rubber grommet and you can clean from either end.

In the photo, the rubber grommet is in the center of the pic and the semi soft plastic drain is quite short and pulls right out.
