Squeeling Belt and Instrument Panel Idiot Lights Flickering 200 1992

Over the past week I've noticed some belt squeel at low speeds and upon initial start-up. I've also had the idiot lights in my instrument cluster flicker on and off crazily. Sometimes this was associated with times when I accelerated. From past experience and some Brickboard research, I remember that the instrument cluster lights flickering can be related to insufficient charging of the alternator. I checked my alternator belts last night and found them to be loose. A quick adjustment and some test drive reveals no more flashing lights and no more belt squeel. Problem seems to be solved for now.
