swapping front seats--what precautions? 900

#1 If they are power seats loosen rails while the seats still have power. It makes it easier to reach the bolts and to disconnect electrical connections.

#2 Remove battery negative lead and put in plastic bag so it will not touch frame. Wait about 15 mins and that should minimize (pretty much exclude) the possibility of setting off the airbags by jarring the SRS control unit which is on the floor beneath the drivers seat.

#3 If they are power seats another risk is a herniated disk since they are really heavy. A second set of hands might be useful.
