Doing a lot of low-cost/no-cost work this weekend (hopefully). Right after getting my 1990 DL Sedan, I vowed to fix three comfort issues and the first push of the trip reset (while stationary) after installing it last weekend caused the ODO to halt in its tracks.
First, the passenger window regulator is torqued all out of usefulness so I picked up a new one as well as window that is correctly seated in the track. Is there any trick to installing a manual regulator or any Art-level pictorials of what it looks like correctly installed? I pulled everything but the weatherstripping to include all the "tuning fork" plastic pieces from a smoothly working wreck.
Second, the seat heater lights on the switches do not even come on. I am starting from scratch on this one so a wiring diagram would be helpful. This is uncharted territory for me and all the posts that turned up in my searches were the earlier style.
Third, the drivers seat needs new base foam and a good condition seat grid. I pulled a passenger seat foam from an '89 along with the grid. Interestingly enough, the passenger seat had a heat pad on only the seat BACK. I have done this replacement before but I was wondering if there were any tricks I might not know.
Finally, I purloined the ODO gears from the same cluster that I got the working clock a couple of weeks ago. Anything I should do to it before installation to insure at least a little longevity from what is obviously an original gear set still containing all its teeth...no bad for free.
Thanks,
Mike
