Yes the car is in the interior of BC. In fact, if you go to 50 deg, 2', 8.60" North; 119 deg, 29', 57.43" West, on Google Earth, you can just make it out partially hidden in the trees. I think it's been sitting there since 1997.
I don't know the car, other what I could see on my one visit. It was a one owner vehicle, purportedly well maintained. When the owner died, his brother just let it sit where you see it, and the rot started. The brother, Peter Ferguson, who I had never met before, invited me to have a look at the car and give him my opinion. I told him unless he had metal working skills, lots of money and 5 years, to try to sell it for parts. There's no doubt in my mind that it is every bit as bad as the Hungarian rescue mission.
From what I could see, the car was complete, although I couldn't actually get to see if the trans, O/D, diff, etc are original. And yes, one of the seats at least has been swapped, as have the grilles. However the VIN says it's a GT. I'm sure Peter would be happy to send you additional pics if you asked him. Or, since Peter is not a Volvo guy, if you were really serious, I could drive out and have another look. It's about 30 minutes from my place, on a driver's road. You can tell that from looking carefully at Google Earth. :-)
