Hat shelf light - fixed 120-130 1967

Thanks, that makes more sense. The toggle switch next to the A post appears to be original, at least the wire and switch are old enough. The fitting for a bare bulb is still there, welded to the dash and original paint. It also makes sense as to why I couldn't find a bulb cover.

While my substitution is not in keeping with 1967 technology, it casts indirect light at the hat shelf and will never burn out. Plus, low wattage, prevents battery drain if left on a day or two (I hope).

What I find hard to get is a new toggle switch that looks period. While the switch is 'fixed' by bending the metal contact, I suspect that it will only be temporary. Perhaps some hardware store will have one, someday.
