pinhole leak in steering rack hard pipe.... what are my options 200

Steering is shuddering and pulsing when turning to the left. Took off the belly pan and cleaned off the junk and found one of the sections of hardpipe that go to either end of the rack has a pin hole leak. cant find anyone who sources the section of hardpipe volvo included. Is the trans cooler line fix suitable here?? ( splice in a new section with compression fittings) Or will I need to bend and flare up a new piece. Is brake line suitable??
