Rebuild A/C Compressor Yourself vs. Replacement? 900

I have a 1992 960, and the seals on the compressor seem to be on their way out. Front and rear seals on the compressor glow brightly when I shine a blacklight in the area. The o-rings seem ok, but they were all replaced when the system was converted to 134a a couple of years ago. The compressor still works fine and a new one from FCP is over $400, so I'm curious if it's possible to buy a kit that contains all of the seals that I'd need to rebuild it on my own?

Also I found a similar looking compressor here:

referenced on a thread here on the 700-series board. Would it be a suitable replacement for the OEM part?
