trying to identify sensors - 1970 P1800E 1800

Hi all,

So I continue to work (slowly) through the mess of wiring issues that were passed on to me from the previous owner.

I was hoping somebody could tell me what the two sensors are near the firewall side of the engine block. There are wires leading from them, but they have been joined to other wires (i believe incorrectly) or lead nowhere.

One is screwed into the top of the engine block near the back end (firewall side) of the block next to the far end of the valve cover. It screws into the block vertically and has a tab for a wire to attach.

The other sticks out the side of the engine block near the back of the passenger side of the block. It sticks out horizontally - and has two connector tabs (the connector looks odd and I don't know if that is original).

Knowing what these are will help me follow the wiring diagram and iterate to a solution.

Thanks so much all.
