1994 940 Brake Performance Mediocre 900

I recently replaced all pads and (all 4) brake hoses and bleed nipples, had the front rotors turned, and bled the system with the IPD Power Bleeder. The brake performance is acceptable but I feel I have to use too much physical effort to stop the car (though I believe the power assist is OK).
I haven't done any specific testing on the MC, but I am now thinking that I need to replace the master cylinder to improve the situation. The car is a 940 turbo with ABS, 200K and original MC.
1 -- Is this a reasonable next step?
2 -- What is a good source for a rebuilt MC?
3 -- Is the DIY MC replacement tricky? I looked in the FAQs and there wasn't much detail.

Thanks,

Rob
