intermitant no start symptom like a dead battery. 200 1993

Think through it all logically...

it usually starts, so... we can assume the battery is fine.

When it doesn't start, a jump makes it start fine, so we can assume your starter is fine, as well as the wiring between where you hooked the jumper cable and the starter.

So, what connection did you bypass with the jumper cable?

Answer: battery connection. Clean again. With the little $1.29 wire brush things. If the positive cable is of the type that the wire bolts to the clamp, take it apart and clean the wire and the inside where it goes.

Has it been humid in your area? Looks clean does not necessarily mean clean.
