Most of the time you swap the engine with everything that is the same...that would not include the harness. Do some preventative maint before you drop it in...rear main seal in particular and the front seals on the tranny.

The 3-speed auto in 240 (never knew it was offered in the 7-series) is a BW55. This is the same tranny as the AW70/71 without the OD unit hanging of the back.
