It ain't a solder joint that fails it is a "hybrid chip" which was sent to the Volvo engineers from the future by Skynet. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed and an updated hybrid chip was installed in the white label ecu's as well as some enterprising folks designing a work-around that does NOT involve sacrificing a chicken or other barnyard animal (although it does involve giving your vehicle a SECOND fuel pump relay).
