ATF for Flush 900

I am about to do my first transmission oil flush per the FAQ section of the Board. I tried to get Dexron IID as recommended in the Haynes Manual, but my local source Advance Auto Parts only carries Dex III/M "formulated for older Ford and GM vehicles", "Suitable for Transmissions requiring Dexron III and Mercon automatic transmission fluids".

The salesman assures me the Dex III/M is the replacement for Dexron II. Maybe However, this is an area where, after the work involved, I certainly do not want to fail for using the wrong formulated product.
