Wiring Harness Woes

Hey Guys,

I have an '84 245 with a bad wiring harness- typical flakey insulation. I also have a good harness from an '87. Here's my question: Would it be possible to use the '87 harness and modify it to fit, or do you think it would be too much trouble? I don't know the differences between the two, but I assume they're fairly similar. I've tried to track down an '84 harness in good condition, and they're few and far between. I'm so close to 300K miles and I need to get the car running again!

Thanks in advance.

Chris
