loss of power and stall when put in gear PLEASE HELP 740 1992 700

So out of no where today i notice at stop lights and stop sign the car seems "to run funny" like it was flooding out with a slight loss of forward momentum norm, i stop at a friends house, i park facing in at a 45 degree angle, and when i get back in the car i crank it, it runs poorly i give it full gas pedal, and it sputters off, and stalls, i re-crank, it runs poor, i give it gas, start to back out and its like it is slipping or does not have the power to make it up the driveway in reverse, it seems to run better in park or neutral, once back on the highway it was ok, not great i notice going up a hill it is notat full power, i got home, but she is a sputtering mess......i checked the tranny fluid it has a little too much in it. i plan to do a tranny flush this weekend. but i wanted to know if anyone knows whats wrong?

Thank You
Wesley
